Arsenal has secured their first summer signing by acquiring the services of Germany international Kai Havertz from Chelsea.
The £65m deal, reportedly fending off competition from Bayern Munich, marks the Premier League runners-up’s successful pursuit of the 24-year-old.
Following initial rejections from their Premier League rivals, Arsenal persisted and reached an agreement with Havertz.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Havertz shared, “Joining this incredible club and becoming part of the Arsenal family is extremely thrilling for me. Arsenal boasts a rich history, and I aspire to achieve great things here.”
He acknowledged the formidable mentality within the Arsenal squad, stating, “That’s one of the reasons why facing Arsenal has been so challenging lately. The objective is to win trophies, and I will devote everything to accomplish that for the fans and everyone associated with the club.”
Anticipating the upcoming pre-season, Havertz eagerly added, “I am excited to meet all the players and staff upon our return.”
