Arsenal’s quest for a 15th FA Cup will start with a tie against Newcastle United with the match to be played at the Emirates at some point across the 8th to 11th January.
The Gunners are struggling in the Premier League with the 2-1 defeat by Wolves cementing a dire 14th place in the run-up to the North London derby at the weekend.
The Magpies are a place above in 13th position, with both sides welcoming the clash as a distraction from league football.
The match will be played at the Emirates at some point across the 8th to 11th January. Given our status as holders, you’d expect us to be on the box.
The Gunners have played three FA Cup finals against the Geordies. Arsenal lost in 1932 and 1952 and won in 1998 against Newcastle.
More recently the Gunners have beaten Newcastle 3-0 in the cup in 2008 and 2002.
