Arsenal youngster, Bukayo Saka is to be handed his England debut as the Three Lions face Wales in a friendly game at the Wembley Stadium today, October 8, 2020.
England boss, Gareth Southgate admitted he is ready to try out new faces as they face Wales in a friendly game before they play Denmark and Belgium in the Nations League.
The 19-year-old seems to have impressed the England boss in his first days at training, earning praises from the gaffer.
Southgate said: “I’ve loved getting to know him this week, a really charming personality you can really see how excited he is my everything.
“Also he is an exciting player, we know he can play for or different positions already. He’s done the for Arsenal: wide left, wide right, wing-back, left-back.
“I think out-and-out left-back at this level would be a little more difficult but any of those advanced positions he is more than capable.
“Our performance tomorrow isn’t going to be perfect, we’ll have too many new players in whom haven’t necessarily played together but I think there’s a lot of exciting things they can do, and we are excited to see them.
“This team might lack experience but it’s also an opportunity for a lot of young players.”
