Willian’s first game with Arsenal has left a number of fans impressed as he provided a hat-trick of assists against Fulham on the opening day of the 2020/2021 Premier League season.
The Brazilian joined the Gunners from Chelsea after his contract expired, and he was handed his full debut under Mikel Arteta in a 3-0 win over the newly-promoted side, Fulham.
He was picked to start ahead of Nicolas Pepe who is the club’s record signing, and he did not disappoint as he played alongside Lacazette and Aubameyang.
He was involved in the opening goal of the game as Lacazette turned home from close range after his initial effort was saved.
Then in the second half came back-to-back assists in quick succession.
Firstly, his corner was turned home by another debutant and compatriot Gabriel Magalhaes and then his fine cross-field pass was expertly finished by Aubameyang to make it 3-0.
Willian’s afternoon ended shortly after as he was replaced by Pepe, thus earning himself a well-earned break as his teammates saw the game out with ease.
His fine form did not go unnoticed as fans sang praises of his brilliant debut at the Craven Cottage.
Well done @willianborges88. That was a man-of-the-match performance! In Nairobi – in Swahili, we say hongera sana (Congratulations!). Nairobi Kenya knows there is a new dangerous arsenal at @Arsenal #FULARS pic.twitter.com/rmRJ56h6Q5

Willian is better than all of Chelsea’s wingers combined. This is not debatable🤝
