Arsenal head coach, Mikel Arteta says the deal to sign Gabriel Magalhaes from Lille has not been completed.
The Gunners have already acquired the services of Willian and will be looking forward to adding the defender in order to reinforce the team ahead of the 2020/2021 season.
It has been reported that Arsenal have already agreed on £25m deal for the Brazilian international and it is just a matter of time the deal is announced.
Speaking ahead of the weekend’s Community Shield clash, Arsenal’s gaffer confirmed his interest in the player.
“Regarding Gabriel we cannot announce the deal yet, it’s not finalized,” Arteta said in his pre-Liverpool press conference. “You all know he’s a player we like.
“Everything is okay when both parties sign.
“Sometimes that in the last stages isn’t easy but we are pretty positive we can do it.
“When we get him I will be pleased.
“He’s a player we followed and we’re determined he’s the right profile for our squad.”
