Agent of Philippe Coutinho has dismissed links to Arsenal and suggests the player could stay at the Nou Camp for the 2020/2021 season.
The former Liverpool playmaker spent this season on loan at the Allianz Arena with Bayern Munich but the club did not trigger their option to buy with Arsenal among the suitors to land the Brazilian.
The 28-year-old will head back to Barcelona when his loan spell ends with the German champions, but reports in Spain claim the club does not want him.
Spanish media reports have recently claimed that the Brazilian international has agreed on personal terms with Arsenal and will join the club on a season-long loan deal.
However, Kia Joorabchian, the agent of Coutinho insists there is nothing to the rumours yet.
“After the Champions League is finished, and whatever happens, then we’ll sit down,” the agent told talkSPORT
“It could be that Barcelona is the ultimate destination.
“He loves the Premier League, but the finances and the numbers and the situation of COVID are going to play a big part.
“He’s a big player with big numbers.”
Joorabchian, who also represents Willian, refused to disclose if the 32-year-old will be joining Arsenal or another club.
Willian, who is now a free agent, confirmed his departure from Chelsea on his birthday had been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal.
It has been reported that the Brazilian has agreed on a three-year contract with medicals also complete.
Asked about Willian’s next club, the agent said: “He is a free player.
“He had a fantastic seven years at Chelsea, he’s been under various managers, he’s won multiple trophies and he has a fantastic relationship with Frank [Lampard], he respected him a lot.
“But I think that cycle had come to a moment where it’s a good moment to leave.
“At the moment, just for now, I can’t say where he’s going to go, for sure Arsenal are one of the contenders.
“But it won’t be long before we announce it.
“We know where he’s going, so it won’t be long.”
