Arsenal are said to be prepared to offer Luka Jovic a huge wage to join them this summer.
Arsenal could be on the hunt for a new striker, with the future of Pierre Emerick Aubameyang uncertain, and Jovic has emerged as one of their top targets.
Jovic has experienced a difficult season at Real Madrid after making a £52 million move last summer (Sky).
Arsenal see the quality that the Serbian possesses though, and are now willing to make him one of their top earners, according to the latest reports.
Arsenal reportedly would offer Jovic up to £192,000-a-week to sign for them, such is Mikel Arteta’s desire to see him at the Emirates Stadium.
That would have to be classed as a shock move if it did happen for the Gunners.
Arsenal have been trying to cut the wage bill, so they would be making a big exception, if they were to offer Jovic such a huge salary.
Arsenal’s stance may come as replacing Aubameyang will be extremely tough for them.
Aubameyang has been a frequent scorer and finding an adequate replacement is unlikely to be possible, unless Arsenal are prepared to spend big.
