Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta led his side to solidarize with the murder of African-American George Floyd.
This was before his side’s friendly against championship outfit Brentford at the Emirates.
The death of George Floyd has sparked mass protests against police brutality in the United States and other countries across the globe. Various sports teams and personalities have joined hands in demanding justice for George Floyd.
The Gunners were no exception. Mikel Arteta led the Arsenal squad and staff as they wore Black Lives Matter shirts to solidarize with George Floyd and Blacks at large. While taking the knee, Mikel Arteta’s black shirt worn read “WE STAND IN SOLIDARITY”.

Taking the knee has been a craze ever since unarmed George Floyd was pinned on the ground with a knee until his demise by a Minneapolis police.
The Gunners have a lot of black players in its squad like Nicholas Pepe, Lacazette, Reis Nelson, and a host of others.
Arsenal will play reigning champions Man City on the 17th of June as project restart nears actualization.
