Arsenal has identified Brazilian sensation, Everton Soares as a candidate to help strengthen the team.
The golden boy’s name has been on the lips of many Brazilian football lovers, especially the Gremio fans for his incredible performance.
Everton, 23, played a key role in Brazil’s Copa America triumph as he won the tournament’s golden boot award for his goals.
He was also named as the man of the match in the final game against Peru as the Samba boys eased pass the Peruvians.
The Gunners are weighing up their options to acquire the attacker as Edu (technical director) heads to Brazil for negotiations.
After his recent game for Gremio, the Arsenal target said:
‘Right now I have an offer on the plate, but I can’t say the name of the club in question.
‘Just as I cannot promise that I will be here again on Thursday to play against Bahia. We’ll see.’
Reports in Brazil suggest Gremio wants a minimum of £36million in order to part ways with their star player.
The Gunners face stiff competition for the Copa America winner who has scored 38 goals in 145 appearances for Gremio.
