Arsenal youngster, Eddie Nketiah has said in an interview with Sky Sports that he is good enough to play the club.
The English international has been limited in game time as he has had just three appearances under Spanish manager, Unai Emery.
With limited funds to splash in the summer transfer window, youngsters in the club will fancy their chances in the upcoming season, with Nketiah among them to understudy Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexander Lacazette.
The departure of Danny Welbeck seemingly increases the chances of the young lad who has risen through the ranks of the clubs academy.
“I’m going to go back to Arsenal and see where I stand,” he toldSky Sports News.
“I’ve prepared well to go back into pre-season but I need see what plans the manager has for me and we’ll take it from there. At the moment I am returning back to Arsenal and will give it my all.
“[Lacazette and Aubameyang] are good players but there are a lot of good players in every position at Arsenal.
“You have to believe in yourself and believe that you are good enough to play. I think I am good enough to play for this club.”
