Arsenal fans are once again speculating about a possible sale in the summer transfer window.
With just under a month to go until deadline day, the Gunners have brought in Brazilian pair Willian and Gabriel Magalhaes, whilst Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares’ loan deals have officially been made permanent.
Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey and Lyon playmaker Houssem Aouar continue to be linked with moves to the Emirates Stadium as Mikel Arteta looks to overhaul his midfield options.
However, with both players likely to cost at least £45m, the north London outfit will have to sell players in order to raise funds for a stunning double deal.
In a dream scenario for Arsenal fans, the club’s technical director Edu can raise £118m this summer to fund Partey and Aouar transfers by selling up to 12 first-team players including the likes of Hector Bellerin and Alexandre Lacazette.
So far, Henrikh Mkhitaryan remains the only high-profile exit from the Gunners as he joined AS Roma on a free transfer last month following a successful loan spell last season.
But while Torreira has since returned to training, Sokratis continues to be absent.
Does this mean his exit is imminent?
Well, some Arsenal fans certainly think so as some eagle-eyed supporters have noticed that Sokratis wasn’t in the training video that@footballdailyuploaded to Twitter, nor was he in Tuesday’s set of released images from the club.
