Paris Saint-Germain fullback Layzvin Kurzawa run out of contract with the French champions this summer. Arsenal, who are looking to beef up their squad is said to be heavily linked to add him to their squad.
Kurzawa, a 27-year-old French left-back is second to Juan Bernat in the PSG left fullback position. He will be on the lookout for a new club in the summer. Arsenal are said to be favourites to land him on a free transfer, according to several reports in the English media.
Arsenal have had problems with the left-back position in the last few seasons. Saed Kolasinac is injury prone and not consistent with his performances. New signing, Kieran Tierney’s short stint with the Gunners is also blighted by injuries.
So, Mikel Arteta will be looking to solve his left-back problems to improve his defensive woes. With the effect of the coronavirus felt at the London club, Kurzawa will be an ideal option.
The fact les Parisiens were prepared to pay so much for Kurzawa five years ago speaks for the regard he was once held in. One of the most exciting young full-back in Europe while at Monaco, Kurzawa flew up and down the left-hand side for Claudio Ranieri’s side as they finished runners-up to PSG in 2013.
Arsenal are not the only English club interested in hiring the services of Kurzawa. London neighbours, Chelsea are also rumoured to be interested in Kurzawa but according to the Sun, Arsenal are favourites to sign Kurzawa.
