At the Emirates stadium, as many as can make it in the Gunners colours would love to cheer the team up to victory next season.
However, these fans would have to get some kind of assurance and perhaps be enthused prior to every game. Inasmuch as Arsenal FC is a great club in England and probably Europe, the entire football fraternity will also be expecting a nice and beautiful football next season just as in the glory days of Arsene Wenger.
These expectations could only be met if there will be a good squad from which Unai Emery builds his team. Most managers build their team around two or three players even sometimes a player. A typical example is Barcelona coach, Ernesto Valverde, who most often builds his team around Messi.
Although the strike partnership of Aubameyang and Lacazette was the spine of the team, a lot more will change as seven players including Aaron Ramsey have been released by the club.
With a limited summer transfer budget and a big inflation in the cost of acquiring players, Unai Emery will be looking at adding some spice to his team and perhaps replace the lost players.
Let’s take a look at these three players that Unai Emery can build his team around next season.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang:
The 29-year-old Gabonese finished the season as joint top goalscorer in the Premier League with 22 goals and also the Premier League player of the month of October. In total, Aubameyang in his first season netted 37 goals and provided 7 assists in the Premier League.
His contributions in the Europa League can not be overlooked as he was involved in 10 goals scoring 8 and assisting two 2.
Both on and off the ball, one can tell how Aubameyang could be very needful to Unai Emery and the entire Gunners. Either 4-3-3 or any other formation, Unai Emery can rely on the former Dortmund striker for goals.
Alexander Lacazette:
With 23 goals and 10 assists in 40 games, he has been a sensation in the Arsenal FC team.
Lacazette is 28 years and plays as a forward for Arsenal FC and the blues of France.
The combination of both Lacazette and Aubameyang up front really has costed some teams over the period they’ve been paired.
Lacazette was not only instrumental in the Premier League for Arsenal FC but also in the Europa League where he scored 5 goals.
He also won the Arsenal player of the 2018/2019 season. The French international with no doubt will be one of the players Unai Emery can build his team around.
Lucas Torreira:
With only a season played at Arsenal, Torreira has proven himself and also secured a place not only in the squad but the starting lineup in Unai Emery’s team.
Torreira made 34 appearances for Arsenal in the 2018/2019 season and was involved in four goals, with 2 goals and provided 2 as well.
Among his teammates, Torreira made 65 tackles, completed 1590 passes, he also made 41 interceptions and was booked 7 times having played about four thousand, six hundred and 4638 minutes.
His aerial battles won, clearances, and also contributions in the Europa League can not be unnoticed.
